Hi Kate,
Just back from Palau where Jim and I were speaking about having met you this summer while you shared your wonderful huckleberry and peach pancakes with us.
Did you spend anytime in the Bahamas? Did you know Ben Rose, Bert Yates?
Am not surprised to hear you trying to feed the children.

Dear Funny Lady,

I haven't perused your entire website yet, but from what I read you're a Wonder Woman after my own heart! I'm intimately aware of the Heart for Haiti orphanage for several reasons - the first is that my son and daughter-in-love spent six months working there back in about 1999. Also, I am the director of another ministry in Bon Repos that supports an orphanage called My Father's House. I know Johann and I think I saw him at the bus station in Tabarre while I was recently in Haiti leading a medical mission.

I'm glad that you were able to get the food to Johann and the kids. I hope things have stabilized since then. There's a young man from Minnesota who's roller blading across the country (4000 Miles) and wants to raise money for an orphanage that needs help. I know Johann's school collapsed and thought maybe that would be a good project for him. I have Johann's email, so I'll contact him, but in the meantime, I just wanted to tell you that I loved your story and can certainly relate to it. God bless! Carol
